Northwest India

According to the Meteorological Department’s alert, the monsoon will once again make its presence felt in northwest India on September 27, 28, 29, and 30. This alert is for heavy rainfall in many areas of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, with light to moderate rainfall in others. During this time, there is also an alert for thunderstorms, strong winds, and lightning.

Eastern and Central India

According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon will once again make its presence felt in eastern and central India between September 27 and 30. This is expected to bring heavy rainfall to many areas of Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim, Chhattisgarh, and Vidarbha. Light rain may also occur in some areas.

West India

According to the Meteorological Department, due to the monsoon, intermittent heavy rains accompanied by strong winds are expected in many areas of Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat-Saurashtra, and Konkan over the next four days. Light rain alerts are also in place for several districts during this period.

South India

The Meteorological Department has also issued an alert for the resumption of the monsoon season in several southern Indian states. This could bring heavy rain to many areas in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Yanam, Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, and Lakshadweep. There is also an alert for drizzle in some districts.

Northeast India

The monsoon will also impact several states in the Northeast.
