Toyota Cars Now Cheaper by ₹3.39 Lakh After GST Cut, Festive Season Best Time to Buy

Toyota Car: Good news for automobile purchasers just ahead of the festival season. Toyota Kirloskar Motor has declared a substantial price reduction in its range of cars, transferring the entire benefit of the new reduced GST rate to customers. The updated prices will be implemented from September 22, 2025, making many of the popular Toyota vehicles more economical for Indian customers.

Sizeable Savings on Iconic Toyota Models

Prices have been reduced substantially due to the GST reduction. Toyota Glanza is now more affordable by ₹85,300, and the Urban Cruiser Taisor loses ₹1.11 lakh. Rumion buyers save ₹48,700, and Hyryder loses ₹65,400. Innova Crysta gets a significant price cut of ₹1.80 lakh, while the Innova Hycross loses ₹1.15 lakh on its price tag. For SUV enthusiasts, Fortuner buyers now save ₹3.49 lakh, and Legender is more affordable by ₹3.34 lakh. Hilux has a reduction of ₹2.52 lakh, Camry goes down by ₹1.01 lakh, and Vellfire drops by ₹2.78 lakh.

Toyota’s Statement on GST Cut

As stated by Toyota Vice President Verinder Wadhwa, this action is a direct consequence of the new GST framework by the government, where tax slabs have been reduced to 5% and 18%. He further mentioned that Toyota would always adopt an open customer-centric policy, which would ensure that benefits of such actions flow to customers as soon as possible. The company expects this change to not only enhance customer confidence but also drive demand during the festival season.

Effect on Indian Auto Sector

The reduction in GST is a good sign for the auto industry. Reducing both small and big cars to be more affordable, this move is likely to usher in stronger sales traction. Toyota’s SUVs, sedans, and MPVs are now priced lower with more competitive rates, providing customers with a great opportunity to take home a new car this festival season.
