The bank has informed that the service of YONO app will be temporarily closed from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm on September 4. The service of SBI YONO app will be available for only 1 hour. During this time, customers will not be able to do any transaction through YONO. The bank does maintenance activity from time to time to improve the banking system. SBI has about 44 crore customers.
Which services will be operational during this time?
If you suddenly need money, then there is no need to worry. Despite the YONO app being closed, you can easily send and receive money through UPI. Apart from this, the service of withdrawing cash from ATM will not be stopped. SBI has also made it clear that UPI Lite feature can be used. UPI Lite is a kind of on-device wallet in which money can be pre-loaded. The advantage of this is that for small transactions like up to Rs 200, there is no need to connect to the bank server.
If you have to do any important work related to the bank when YONO is closed, then you can get information by calling SBI’s toll-free number 1800 1234 and 1800 2100. In this way, the bank has tried to ensure that customers do not face any inconvenience and the basic service continues without any problem.
What is YONO Lite App?
SBI has given the option of YONO Lite App for many customers. This app is light and easy to use. It does not require much data or high-end smartphone. Through this, customers can check balance, transfer funds, pay bills and also view mini statement. Only net banking or mobile banking ID-password is required to login.
