Bollywood Mourns: A nation immersed in the light of Diwali has suffered a major setback today. Renowned Bollywood comedian and actor Asrani passed away at the age of 84. He had been ill for some time and was admitted to a Mumbai hospital.

According to hospital sources, Asrani suffered from lung disease. He was brought to the hospital five days ago after experiencing breathing problems. A team of doctors continued treating him, but he breathed his last at around 4 pm today.

Asrani was born on January 1, 1941, in Jaipur. He studied at St. Xavier’s School in Jaipur and graduated from Rajasthan College. He made his Bollywood debut in 1967 with the film “Hare Kaanch Ki Chudiyan.”

He appeared in over 300 films in his career. His unique comic timing and memorable dialogue delivery made him a special place in the hearts of audiences. His comic scenes in films like “Heeralal Pannalal,” “Amar Akbar Anthony,” and “Coolie No. 1” still make people laugh.

As soon as news of his passing broke, Bollywood stars and fans paid tribute on social media. Actor Anupam Kher wrote, “Very sad. Asrani ji was a wonderful human being and a great actor.” Akshay Kumar tweeted, “His comedy made generations laugh.”

Asrani remained active in films until his death. His last film, “Hasee Toh Phasee,” was released this year. He is survived by his wife and two children. Family members say his passing on Diwali is a huge shock.

Asrani’s departure has left a huge void in the world of Bollywood comedy. His memory will always remain alive in the hearts of his fans and admirers.
