Actually, Vida, the electric mobility brand of Hero MotoCorp, has launched a new scooter named Vida VX2 Plus 4.4kWh. Whose standard price is Rs 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). However, its price on the official website is stated to be Rs 1.14 lakh. This price has been decided after deducting the Central PM E-Drive subsidy and a discount of Rs 2,000. This scooter has the same motor and most of the equipment as the existing VX2 Plus 3.4kWh, but it has a bigger battery pack which increases its range. Hero Vida VX2 Plus 4.4kWh: Battery and range
Vida VX2 Plus has a 4.4kWh battery pack, which will come with two 2.2kWh removable batteries. Due to the removable battery, users can easily remove it from the scooter and charge it at home or office. Talking about range, this electric scooter with a large battery capacity offers an IDC-certified range of 187 km on a single charge, which is 41 km more than the 146km range of the current 3.4kWh version.
Hero Vida VX2 Plus 4.4kWh: Charging
The Vida VX2 Plus 4.4kWh comes with a 1kW Zap charger, while its standard version comes with a 580W charger. With the included AC charger, it takes 3 hours 17 minutes to charge the battery from 0 to 80%, 2 hours 28 minutes to charge from 20 to 80% and 5 hours 8 minutes to charge from 0 to 100%. Additionally, this scooter also supports DC fast charging, which takes 65 minutes to charge from 0 to 80% and 150 minutes (2 hours 30 minutes) to fully charge from 0 to 100% in standard test conditions.
Hero Vida VX2 Plus 4.4kWh: Top speed and dimensions
This electric scooter has a 6kW (8.98hp) permanent magnet synchronous motor. Its top speed is 90km/h and it can accelerate from 0 to 40km/h in 3.1 seconds. The gradeability of this EV is 18 degrees. Talking about dimensions, the scooter has seat height of 777mm, seat length of 851mm, curb weight of 120kg, 27.2 liters of storage under the seat and 4.8 liters of extra storage compartment at the front.
Hero Vida VX2 Plus 4.4kWh: Hardware and features
The Vida electric scooter has a disc brake setup at the front and drum brake at the rear with CBS, and it comes with 12-inch alloy wheels on both sides. Talking about the features, this EV has features like Eco, Ride and Sport riding modes, 4.3-inch TFT display, smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. This scooter also supports over-the-air (OTA) updates.
