From August 21 to September 24, this train will operate via Shekhawati instead of Jaipur. According to Amit Sudarshan, CPRO of North Western Railway, the work of doubling the railway line is going on between Kund, Pali and Khori stations. For this reason, the operating route of train number 14087 Delhi-Jaisalmer train service has been changed. Now the train will go from Delhi to Jaisalmer via Rewari, Mahendragarh, Loharu, Chirawa, Jhunjhunu, Nawalgarh, Sikar and Ringas. This change has been made from 21st August to 24th September.

The most important thing is that the passengers of Shekhawati, who have been expecting better rail connectivity for years, are going to get a big benefit from this temporary change. With the train passing through Jhunjhunu, along with the passengers going to Delhi, direct rail service will also be available to the people of Sikar, Nawalgarh, Chirawa and surrounding areas. This facility can prove to be very beneficial for migrant travelers during the festival season.

Talking about train timings, Runicha Express will leave from Delhi at 8:55 am and will reach Jhunjhunu at around 12:30 pm. After this the train will go to Ringas via Nawalgarh and Sikar and will further leave for Jaisalmer. Passengers joining this route will get a convenient option to travel between Delhi to Shekhawati and Western Rajasthan.

This service will be important for the passengers on return journey also. The train will leave from Jaisalmer every day at around 7 pm. After this, the time of reaching Jodhpur will be around 11:40 pm. The next day the train will reach Jhunjhunu at around 8:30 am and will reach Delhi at around 12 noon. With this timetable, after traveling at night, passengers will get the facility to reach Shekhawati in the morning and reach Delhi by afternoon.

According to Pradeep Aggarwal, President of Shekhawati Rail Vikas Sangharsh Committee, the committee has been trying for a long time to demand the starting of a new rail service from Delhi to Jodhpur and Jaisalmer. In such a situation, the operation of Runicha Express via Jhunjhunu is not just a change in route for the area, but is being considered an important step in terms of rail connectivity. This may also strengthen the demand for permanent rail service in future.
