  1. Blind Game (November 4)

Platform: ZEE5 | Genre: Crime thriller

Arjun Rampal plays a suspended cop who gets pulled into a case of money that vanished without a trace. Sangeeth Sivan directs, and the cast includes Priyamani, Rohit Chandel and Nakul Roshan Sahdev.

Clearing his name is the goal, but the missing-cash angle turns out to be the small part of the story. The deeper he digs, the more he runs into criminal networks and corruption, and the danger around him keeps growing. It’s a remake of the 2014 Malayalam thriller 7th Day, so anyone who knows the original will have a head start.

  1. Anaesthesia (November 4)

Platform: Netflix | Genre: Medical drama

This Polish series runs eight episodes and follows neurosurgeon Dr David Lazarz, played by Leszek Lichota. A risky operation goes badly wrong, and he moves to a hospital in a smaller town to start over.

A fresh start doesn’t come easily. He treats patients his own way, which often means bending the rules, and that puts him at odds with the staff around him. If you like hospital dramas built on prickly characters, this one is worth a look.

  1. Dilwali Diwali (November 5)

Platform: Netflix | Genre: Family drama

Ritesh Menon directs, with Mihir Ahuja, Manoj Pahwa, Neelu Kohli and Aurra Bhatnagar in the cast. Ansh Sikka has built a career abroad and wants his middle-class Punjabi parents to live more comfortably. He buys them a modern apartment and flies home for Diwali, sure it will make everyone happy.

It doesn’t quite work out that way. His parents have their own idea of comfort, and a bigger flat isn’t it. The film, produced by Terribly Tiny Tales, looks at the gap between what children think they’re giving and what parents actually want, which plenty of families will recognise.

  1. Black Doves Season 2 (November 5)

Platform: Netflix | Genre: Spy thriller

Keira Knightley and Ben Whishaw are back. Knightley’s Helen Webb is still leading a double life, and her husband’s political rise makes that harder to hide, since he’s edging closer to becoming Britain’s next Prime Minister. More public attention means more risk for her secrets. If the first season worked for you, this one keeps the espionage, the political tension and the messy personal stakes.

  1. North of North Season 2 (November 5)

Platform: Netflix | Genre: Comedy drama

The Canadian series returns to Ice Cove, an Arctic community where Siaja, a young Inuk mother, is determined to prove she’s capable of far more than her current job suggests. Season 2 opens as winter sets in, and the show keeps mixing workplace humour with family life and shifting relationships in a tight-knit town. It’s the lightest pick of the week.

  1. One Year to Live, Buy a Man (November 5)

Platform: Netflix | Genre: Japanese romantic drama

Based on a popular webcomic, this film starts with a woman who learns she has one year left. She spends her savings on supporting a struggling actor, and in return he keeps her company. What starts as a transaction slowly turns into something real, and the story deals with loneliness and how unlikely bonds can change the way people see their lives.

  1. Haiwaan (November 6)

Platform: SonyLIV | Genre: Crime thriller

Priyadarshan directs this remake of his own 2016 Malayalam film Oppam, with Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles. Saif plays Shyam Rane, a visually impaired caretaker in a residential society. When a retired judge is murdered, Shyam is among the first to find the body, and his link to the victim makes him a suspect.

Akshay Kumar plays Parshuram Gokhale, the man tied to the killings. Shyam has to lean on his heightened senses and martial arts skills to find the real culprit, while a young girl’s life hangs in the balance. Two big Bollywood names, plenty of suspense and some action.

  1. Last Man in Tower (November 6)

Platform: ZEE5 | Genre: Drama

Ben Rekhi directs this adaptation of Aravind Adiga’s 2011 novel. It’s set in Vishram Society, an old building in Mumbai’s Vakola. Developer Dharmen Shah, played by Boman Irani, wants to tear it down and put up a luxury tower called The Shanghai, and he offers residents generous payouts to leave. Nearly everyone agrees.

One man doesn’t. Manoj Bajpayee plays Yogesh Mishra, known as Masterji, a retired teacher and widower who won’t give up the home where he lived with his late wife. The developer needs every resident on board, so Masterji’s refusal becomes a problem, and the pressure from his own neighbours keeps rising. It’s a story about redevelopment, money and what a home means to the person living in it.

  1. Notice (November 6)

Platform: Waves OTT | Genre: Social drama

Arun Govil and Deepika Chikhlia, who played Ram and Sita in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan, are reunited here. Pradeep Gupta directs, and Pankaj Jha of Panchayat fame is in the cast. Aditya Pratap Singh Raghuvanshi produces under the APS Entertainment Production banner. The pairing will draw nostalgic viewers, but the film is built around a social issue and its message.

  1. I’m Game (November 6)

Platform: JioHotstar | Genre: Supernatural action thriller

Dulquer Salmaan stars in this Malayalam film from director Nahas Hidayath. His character, Dan John, is a wealthy gambler who trusts luck and algorithms. After a big loss on cricket betting and deep debts to dangerous lenders, he runs off with stolen money and crashes.

He wakes from a coma without one hand. A mystery donor makes a transplant possible, and then things get strange, because the new hand seems to act on its own. Dan eventually learns it belonged to a murdered cricketer, and the hand has unfinished business. A Hindi-dubbed version is also streaming.

  1. Meesaya Murukku 2 (November 6)

Platform: SonyLIV | Genre: Musical comedy drama

In this Tamil sequel, Jeeva is an aspiring musician whose relationship with Leila gets tense when a top film producer’s son takes an interest in her. That pushes Jeeva to look into his own family history, where he finds a deeper connection to music. It adds romance and family drama to the franchise’s musical streak, and a Hindi-dubbed version is available on SonyLIV too.

  1. Possible Love (November 6)

Platform: Netflix | Genre: Korean romantic drama

Lee Chang-dong’s film follows two married couples, one with an unemployed husband and the other with a documentary filmmaker and her spouse. A film project brings them together, and their different personalities and private desires start to show. This isn’t a conventional love story. It asks what love, commitment and happiness mean to people who look settled from the outside.

  1. Campus Drivers (November 6)

Platform: Amazon Prime Video | Genre: Romantic drama

Based on French author C.S. Quill’s bestselling Crash novels, the series follows Lois, who has a place at Bellrose University and a boyfriend named Max. Then her life takes a turn that leaves her heartbroken. She meets Lane, the well-known creator of a university app, and their odd first encounter slowly grows into a connection that changes them both. Expect college life, heartbreak and the uncertainty of early adulthood.

  1. Under Siege (November 6)

Platform: Netflix | Genre: Historical thriller

This eight-episode limited series is based on the 1985 attack on Colombia’s Palace of Justice. On November 6 of that year, M-19 guerrillas stormed the building and held hundreds of people hostage, including Supreme Court judges. The military operation that followed was violent, and families of the victims spent years seeking answers and fighting legal battles. The series covers the siege, the response and the long aftermath. It’s a heavier watch than most of this week’s list.

What to Watch First

If you want crime and suspense, start with Blind Game or Haiwaan. For a family evening during Diwali, Dilwali Diwali is the obvious fit. Black Doves Season 2 is the pick for spy-thriller fans, and Last Man in Tower is the strongest bet for serious drama. Possible Love suits anyone who likes international cinema, I’m Game is the oddball supernatural choice, and Under Siege is the one for history buffs.

Release dates and available languages can differ by region, so check the platform before you plan your viewing.
