Continuous rain in Mumbai
According to the Meteorological Department, another system is forming in the Bay of Bengal. It has now become strong and active. Heavy rain is expected to start in Mumbai between June 16 and 18 as it moves towards Odisha and Chhattisgarh. This system can be seen gaining speed towards North Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan on June 19 and 20. There is a possibility of getting some relief from this. Light to moderate rain is expected in Mumbai once again from June 21.
Rain alert in northeastern states
According to the IMD, heavy rains are expected in many parts of the northeastern states. A rain alert has been issued in Puducherry, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh. Heavy rains are also likely at many places in Mizoram, Tripura, Sikkim and Nagaland. Landslides are also expected in the hilly areas here. Therefore, people have been asked to be cautious.
