Alert of heavy rain in these states
If the Indian Meteorological Department is to be believed, low pressure is gradually moving forward in the central parts of North Rajasthan. IMD has issued an alert of heavy rain with thunderstorms in Bihar, Chhattisgarh, coastal Karnataka, Jammu and Kashmir and Jharkhand. Apart from these, heavy rains with thunderstorms have been predicted in Kerala, Mahe, Konkan and Goa.
Heavy rains may occur in many places, including Central Maharashtra, Odisha, and Rajasthan. Heavy rain warning has also been issued in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand from 17 to 21 July. Rains are expected at many places in eastern Uttar Pradesh. Heavy rains may occur in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Odisha, Sub-Himalayan region. Apart from these, heavy rains may continue in many areas, including West Bengal and Sikkim.
During these 7 days, a rain alert has been issued with thunder and lightning at various places in Northeast India. By July 21, there may be rain in Assam and Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram. Heavy rain is also expected in Tripura.
