Heavy rain alert in these states
According to the Indian Meteorological Department, a warning of rain with thunder has been issued in many states of the country. In these, an alert has been issued for heavy rain with thunderstorms in Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Kerala, coastal areas of Karnataka, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. Apart from these, heavy rains may occur in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Manipur in the next five days.
Strong winds are also expected here. Along with these, heavy rains with strong winds are also expected in Mizoram, Tripura and Arunachal Pradesh. An alert for heavy rains has also been issued in the coastal areas of Karnataka and, Union Territory of Lakshadweep. A warning has been issued in the south-west parts of the Bay of Bengal. The IMD said that fishermen have been advised to stay away from the sea areas for the next three days.
Rain everywhere
It has been raining in various parts of the country since late Saturday night. Rains with strong winds are occurring in many areas of Moradabad, Amroha, Bijnor, Muzaffarnagar and Saharanpur in UP. Due to rain in the plains and hilly areas of Uttarakhand, the temperature has dropped, and people have got some relief. Heavy rain is also falling at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.
