Heavy rain warning in these 11 districts
The Indian Meteorological Department has issued an alert of torrential rain in 11 districts of eastern Uttar Pradesh. According to the IMD, an alert of heavy rain has been issued in Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti and Kushinagar. Apart from these, there is a possibility of torrential rain in Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar, Gonda and Balrampur.
IMD has also said that heavy rains can be seen in Shravasti, Bahraich and Lakhimpur Kheri. The Meteorological Department has instructed people to keep away from rivers and ponds. There is also a possibility of strong winds and lightning in some areas.
Possibility of rain in western UP
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in some districts of western UP. IMD has predicted heavy rains in Shahjahanpur, Rampur, Sitapur, Bareilly and Pilibhit. A yellow alert has also been issued for this place. Along with this, local people have also been advised to avoid disasters like waterlogging and lightning.
Farmers’ crops will get relief
The new phase of monsoon in UP is likely to prove to be a boon for the withering crops of the farmers here. There can be chaos like waterlogging, power cuts and transportation in urban and rural areas. According to experts, this rain may work to support the crops, but it is becoming challenging for the common people day by day.
