BSNL India shared information about this new prepaid plan through its official X (formerly Twitter) account. Priced at Rs. 2,799, this plan is aimed at users who want an affordable and reliable connection for a long period of time.
This plan offers a validity of 365 days. For calling, it offers unlimited voice calls across India, including free national roaming. Internet users get 3GB of high-speed data daily, meaning ample internet access for the entire year. Additionally, 100 free SMS messages are also offered daily. This plan costs approximately ₹8 per day.
What’s the difference between the ₹2,399 and ₹2,799 plans?
BSNL already offers a one-year plan for ₹2,399 that offers unlimited calling and 2GB of data per day. Now, with the new ₹2,799 plan, users can get an additional 1GB of data per day for just ₹400 more.
This means you’re getting approximately 365GB more data per year. If you calculate, each additional GB costs only about ₹1.10. Therefore, the new plan may prove more beneficial for those who use the internet frequently.

Special Data Bonus for New Year
In addition to launching new plans, BSNL has also introduced New Year and Christmas offers for existing customers. Recharging from December 15th to January 31st, 2026, the annual plan of Rs. 2,399 offers 2.5GB of data per day instead of 2GB.
There’s also good news for users of shorter-term plans. BSNL is offering 0.5GB of additional data per day on its popular Rs. 225, 347, and 485 recharge plans, allowing users to enjoy more internet during the holidays.
Jio’s Year-Long Recharge Plan
