Under the UP Intercaste Marriage Scheme, couples whose marriage is registered under the Hindu Marriage Act 1955 receive a benefit of ₹2.50 lakh (approximately $2.5 million USD) for marriages. However, this scheme is only available to couples whose marriage is registered under the Hindu Marriage Act 1955. The UP Intercaste Marriage Scheme aims to promote intercaste marriages and reduce caste discrimination in society. Couples can only avail of the scheme within one year of marriage.
How to apply for the UP Intercaste Marriage Scheme?
- To avail the benefits of the UP Intercaste Marriage Scheme, you must first visit the portal of the Social Welfare Department of the UP government.

- Fill out the application form and provide all the required information correctly.
