The 2026 Tata Punch EV now features a new 40 kWh battery pack. This larger battery offers an ARAI-certified range of up to 468 km, while its range in real C75 conditions is estimated to be around 355 km.
The existing 30 kWh battery pack is also available, which offers a real-world range of over 300 km. With this update, the 2026 Tata Punch EV facelift offers improved range options for both urban driving and occasional highway travel.
Faster Charging and Improved Efficiency
The new Punch features improved charging capabilities. It supports 65 kW DC fast charging, and the battery can be charged from 20% to 80% in just 26 minutes. According to the company, a 15-minute charge can provide a range of approximately 135 km.
The battery uses prismatic LFP cells and comes with a lifetime, unlimited kilometer warranty. Tata has improved e-drive calibration and algorithm optimization to increase efficiency and make the driving experience smoother.
Performance and Practicality
The 2026 Tata Punch EV can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 9 seconds. It features multiple drive modes and four levels of regenerative braking, which can be controlled via paddle shifters. Despite being compact, this electric SUV retains its SUV styling, including a ground clearance of 195 mm and a water wading capacity of up to 450 mm. These features make it extremely practical for Indian road conditions.
