Air India Express flights to soon operate from Noida

This airport was built by Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Zurich Airport International. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the airport on March 28th. It is the second largest airport in Delhi-NCR after Indira Gandhi International Airport at Palam in Delhi . Currently, only two airlines have announced plans to operate flights from here. However, Air India Express is also expected to begin flights from Noida soon.

Currently, the airport is not approved for international passenger flights, so all flights will be domestic only. However, the airport has been approved for international cargo transportation. Only the first phase of the airport’s development has been completed. Operations are underway with one runway and a terminal building with an annual capacity of 12 million passengers. The development is planned in four phases.
