Samsung has introduced a new AI Pet Care feature at the VivaTech 2026. This feature can analyze photos of pets to identify signs of potential health problems.

Samsung has announced a new AI feature that can help detect potential health issues in pets. The company unveiled this AI-powered pet care solution at its VivaTech 2026 event in partnership with startup Lyft. The feature allows users to take a photo of their pet and have its health analyzed using AI.

According to the company, AI can analyze photos to identify signs of potential diseases like dental problems, Patellar Luxation, and Cataracts. The goal is to monitor pet health and identify potential problems at an early stage.

To use this feature, Galaxy users will need to install the SmartThings app and Pet Care service on their smartphones. Lyft already offers an AI-based pet photo analysis service through its website. The company claims this system can identify these health problems with up to 97 percent accuracy.

Samsung says it wants to move healthcare from just treatment to everyday monitoring through AI, connected devices, and various partnerships. To this end, the company is working to integrate Galaxy smartphones, Galaxy Watch, smart home devices, and the Samsung Health platform.

In addition to the pet care feature, Samsung also showcased several other AI-based health features at the event. According to the company, the Samsung Health platform is being further expanded to include areas like sleep, physical activity, nutrition, mental health, and vital sign monitoring. Features like Heart Health Score, Vitals Tracking, and improved Workout Metrics have also been introduced.

Samsung also mentioned its partnership with Xealth. Through this collaboration, the company is working on improved connectivity between Galaxy devices and healthcare services, allowing doctors and patients to monitor health information outside of traditional clinical settings.
