When did the gas prices last change?
On July 1, oil marketing companies had previously lowered the price of the 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder by Rs 183.50. Following this reduction, the price in the capital, Delhi, was adjusted to Rs 2,930. Meanwhile, in Kolkata, the price decreased from Rs 3,255.50 to Rs 3,081.50. In Patna, the cost of the 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder also fell to Rs 3,227. This marked the first significant reduction in the price of commercial LPG cylinders for the year 2026.
Meanwhile If you are an Ujjwala beneficiary and have refilled four cylinders between April 1st and July 31st, you will not receive a subsidy this August. This means you will be available at the same price as the average consumer. The government is providing Ujjwala beneficiaries with a subsidy of Rs. 300 each on only four cylinders this financial year. Previously, it was available on nine cylinders, but later it was reduced to six.
