Ganesh Chaturthi falls on Monday, September 14.
The auspicious time to install the Ganesh idol is from 11:02 AM to 01:31 PM.
The period during which moon-sighting is prohibited (*Varjit Chandra Darshan*) is from 09:06 AM to 08:04 PM.
Start of Chaturthi Tithi: September 14, around 7:06 AM
End of Chaturthi Tithi: September 15, around 7:44 AM

Ganesh Chaturthi Worship Rituals:
On Ganesh Chaturthi, bathe, wear clean clothes, and thoroughly clean the place of worship. Next, spread a red or yellow cloth on a raised platform (chowki) and install the idol of Lord Ganesh. Then, bathe Ganpati with water, Panchamrit, and Gangajal (holy water from the Ganges). Offer sandalwood paste, Roli (vermilion powder), Akshat (unbroken rice grains), Sindoor (vermilion), and flowers. Offer durva grass and red flowers specifically to Lord Ganesh. Afterwards, light incense and a diya (lamp) and perform the Aarti of Lord Ganesh. Chant the Ganpati mantra during the worship. After this, take the prasad.
