Uber Air Taxi: Uber Air Taxi is about to launch, booking will be done through mobile app like cab.

Uber Air Taxi: American cab service provider Uber and Joby Aviation have announced the launch of an air taxi service. This new air taxi service will be booked through a mobile app, just like a regular cab ride. If all goes according to plan, this air taxi service will be launched by the end of this year.

Uber Air Taxi: Imagine, you take out your phone to book a cab, open the app, and you’re presented with two options: a road taxi and a flying one. Yes, the same air, the same sky. Dubai is now about to turn this vision into reality, where taxis will run not only on the road but also in the sky. Until now, getting stuck in traffic was a necessity, but perhaps not in the future. Because the same Uber app you use to book cabs every day will also offer air taxis.

In fact, by the end of this year, an electric air taxi service is going to launch in Dubai, which can be booked directly from a mobile app. The special thing is that this facility will be available through the popular ride-hailing app Uber. This means that along with the road-riding car, the option of flying air taxis will now be available on the same app.

How to book an air taxi through the app

The booking process for an air taxi will be exactly like a normal ride. You open the app, enter your destination, and if air travel is possible on that route, an air taxi option will automatically appear. This single booking will take you to your take-off point via road, then take you airborne, and after landing, you’ll be taken back to your final destination by road. That means the entire journey is covered by a single ticket and a single app.

This air taxi will be fully electric and can seat four passengers. Each flight will be flown by a licensed commercial pilot, ensuring safety. The cabin will feature comfortable seats and large windows, allowing passengers to enjoy spectacular views of Dubai during the flight. This air taxi is equipped with six special propellers, allowing it to take off and land vertically.

It will be an electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. It can also fly forward if needed. Its maximum speed will be approximately 200 mph (321 km/h) and it will be able to fly approximately 100 miles (160 km) on a single charge. It will also be equipped with multiple safety systems to ensure safe travel within the city.

This air taxi service is expected to launch this year, providing a major boost to Dubai’s multi-modal transport system, connecting land and air. The air mobility project, which has been in the works for many years, can now become a part of the daily lives of common people. The aim of this service is to create a transport system where short distances can be travelled in less time even in traffic areas.
