Monsoon Alert: Weather conditions across the country are changing rapidly. Alerts have been issued for heavy rain, storms, and strong winds in several states. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rainfall in most states over the next 48 hours. A recent bulletin from the India Meteorological Department (IMD) indicates that strong winds accompanied by thunderstorms are likely in several states due to a Western Disturbance and various cyclonic influences.
According to the department, heavy rain is expected today, Saturday, June 6, in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya. Moderate to heavy rainfall is forecast for Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura between June 6 and June 11. The weather has also changed abruptly in Delhi and the NCR region. Delhi Weather
Residents of Delhi-NCR may find relief from the heat on June 6 as well. There is a possibility of heavy rain and strong storms, with wind speeds potentially reaching 60-70 km/h. Delhi’s maximum temperature is expected to be 39°C, and the minimum is likely to be 29°C.
Rain in Uttar Pradesh
According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain is likely at several places in western and eastern Uttar Pradesh on June 6. The weather is expected to remain dry in most areas between June 7 and June 9. Heatwave conditions may intensify again in several parts of the state starting June 9. Meanwhile, rain and thunderstorms may occur in parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh on June 10.

Weather in Bihar and Jharkhand
Scattered to moderate rainfall is likely in West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, and Odisha today (Saturday). Additionally, warnings regarding thunderstorms have been issued for these states. Heavy rainfall is likely in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on June 6.
Rainfall in Himachal and Uttarakhand
According to the Meteorological Department, scattered to moderate rainfall is expected today, June 6, in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir, and eastern Rajasthan. Furthermore, the department forecasts light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds in Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, and western Uttar Pradesh.

Rainfall in Kerala and Karnataka
An alert has been issued for Kerala, Lakshadweep, coastal Karnataka, and Telangana due to expected heavy rainfall on June 6. Heavy rain is also likely in south interior Karnataka. Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh, and Rayalaseema may experience scattered to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds. Extremely heavy rainfall is anticipated in Kerala on June 6 and 7.
Weather in Rajasthan
According to the Meteorological Department, rain is expected in Rajasthan over the next two days. However, intense heat may trouble residents again thereafter.
