Whereas for a 60 page passport, the normal fee will be ₹ 3,500 and the Tatkal fee will be ₹ 6,000.
Highest increase on replacement
The biggest increase has been made on replacement of lost or damaged passports. For replacement of 36 page passport, you will have to pay ₹ 5,000 for general category and ₹ 7,500 for Tatkal. Apart from this, a fee of ₹ 750 has been fixed for Police Clearance Certificate (PCC), Surrender Certificate and other certificates. The new charges will be applicable across the country from July 1.

Lost or damaged 36-page passport
Minors applying to replace a lost or damaged 36-page passport will have to pay Rs 4,250 under the normal category and Rs 6,750 under the Tatkal category. For other passport related services, such as Police Clearance Certificate, Surrender Certificate, Global Entry Program Verification and other certificates, the fee in India has been fixed at Rs 750.
Cost of Certificate of Identity
The cost of Certificate of Identity will be Rs 1,000. The cost of an emergency certificate for services provided abroad will be $15. Whereas the cost of Certificate of Identity will be 50 USD. It has been said in the notification that no immediate facility will be available for these services.

1. Rules for Normal and Tatkal Passport (36 and 60 pages)
36 page new/re-issue passport (normal): Now you will have to pay ₹ 2,500 for this.
36 page passport (Tatkal): Under the Tatkal scheme, this fee will be ₹5,000.
60 page passport (normal): A fee of ₹ 3,500 has been fixed for this.
60 page passport (instant): For this you will have to pay ₹6,000.
2. Loss or damage of passport (replacement)
Replacement of 36 pages (normal): Fee of ₹ 5,000 will be charged.
Replacement of 36 pages (urgent): ₹ 7,500 will have to be paid for this.
60 page replacement (normal): Its fee has been fixed at ₹ 6,000.
Replacement of 60 pages (urgent): The maximum cost for this will be ₹ 8,500.
3. Other essential services
Other miscellaneous services like Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) and Surrender Certificate will attract a fee of ₹750 in India.
Outside India, the fee has been fixed at 15 USD for Emergency Certificate and 50 USD for Identity Certificate.
Rules of validity
The Government of India has clarified that passports issued for adults will remain valid for 10 years. At the same time, the validity of passport issued for minors will remain valid for 5 years or till they turn 18 (whichever is earlier).
