Bank Holidays: If you have any essential banking tasks to handle this week, from September 7 to 13, 2026, make sure to review the holiday schedule before heading out. According to the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) holiday calendar, banks will be closed for several days next week.

Let us inform you about the specific days and locations where banks will be closed, as well as where regular operations will continue.

Bank branches will be closed next week from September 11 to 13 in various regions of the country:

September 11 (Friday) – Banks Closed in Jaipur: All banks within the Jaipur Municipal Corporation limits will be closed on September 11 due to local elections. This holiday will not affect the rest of Rajasthan or the rest of the country.

September 12 (Saturday) – Second Saturday: As it is the second Saturday of the month, all government and private banks nationwide will be closed.

September 12 (Saturday) – Special Holiday in Guwahati: September 12th commemorates the passing of Srimanta Sankardev, the esteemed saint, scholar, poet, and social reformer of Assam. The RBI has designated a special bank holiday in Guwahati for this occasion. However, banks will be closed across the country due to the second Saturday.

September 13 (Sunday) – Weekly Holiday: Banks will be closed nationwide as it is Sunday.

According to the RBI calendar, there are no national or significant regional bank holidays from September 7 to September 10 (Monday through Thursday). Bank branches throughout the country will function normally on these four days.

These digital services will remain available even when banks are closed

Even with bank branches closed, customers need not worry. Digital and online banking services will be available 24/7. You can easily transfer money and pay bills using mobile banking, internet banking, and UPI. ATM services will still be accessible for cash withdrawals and deposits.

What tasks will have to wait?

If you have to complete work like cheque clearance, opening a new account, accessing a locker, making a draft or submitting documents, then for this you will have to wait for the working days of the bank branch (7th to 10th September).
